Job description
As a Character Animator, you will be part of a tight-knit team focused on delivering highly appealing content to a broad audience. You will be creating 3D character animations as well as the rigging to support it, adding life and personality to our cast of quirky stylized characters.
During your time at Upright Games, you will be working on brand new as well as existing beloved IPs. With Royal Revolt and Olympus Rising, we have developed two very successful games with over 25 million installs and a loyal community of over a million active users per month.
Key responsabilities
Taking direction from the Art Director to create animation that supports the game’s visual design.
Creating key-frame animations and rigs for appealing cartoon characters.
Communicating with our outsourcing partners, writing documentation and providing feedback on animations and rigs.
Skills & Requirements
3+ years of professional key-frame animation and rigging experience
A showreel demonstrating your proficiency in the principles of animation, showing key-framed character and creature animations
Excellent instincts for realistic and stylized motion
Fluent in Maya (bonus points for 3ds Max!)
Knowledge of Unity Engine and associated animation pipelines
Good communication skills – you like to work in a team context and are eager to share and receive feedback
Proactive attitude – you are happy to take on responsibility and are able to work independently to translate the artistic vision of the project into fully animated character
